Hey everyone!

Well I’ve decided to start a journal/blog to keep everyone up to date on my travels… ok so it may be 5 months late but I thought it would be a good idea! I will try get everyone up to speed as soon as I can. For right now, just know that Australia is BEAUTIFUL!!! Since it is just coming into summer the weather is starting to get hot and almost everyday is really humid, or at least compared to Saskatchewan it is.  The jacaranda trees just finished blooming which means, in Queensland,  that finals are in full swing! I have my first final today at 5:45pm. Its my marine biology final and, as you can probably tell, I’m hoping that it will be a walk in the park!

I finish finals on November 19th. That night I am going to the opening night of “Twlight” which is just as anticipated over here as it is back in Canada, or so I’m told from Charlie! Although the movie starts at midnight, I will be getting up at the crack of dawn and heading to the airport to catch a 7am flight to Christchurch, New Zealand with my American friend Tara! I am SO excited for it and will definitely post our travel adventures on here for you to read. Our plan is to drive around most of the south island starting in Christchurch and traveling down the west coast to Dunedin, home of the Cadbury factory! Score!!! Then we will make our way inland to Queenstown to have a go at being adrenalin junkies. Our plan for Queenstown is to bungee jump or canyon swing, maybe white water raft, and definitely to jump out of a plane… Thats right folks!!! Kelsey Freeman is going to go to be SKYDIVING! If I live to tell the story I will definitely post some pictures of us geared up ready to go! Haha just kidding mom . From Queenstown we are going to make a few stops at Milfred Sound and Wanaka and then head up the east coast to Fox Glacier. From there we will cut back across to Christchurch and fly home to Brisbane on the 27th, just in time to meet Tara’s parents who arrive that day!

I would love to keep writing about what I’ve done and seen so far but unfortunately the “boney fishes” and coral reef lectures are waiting to be reviewed one more time. I hope everyone is doing well!!! Keep checking back for more updates.
